Lisa’s Niall/Liam Imagine Request
“The Stages Of Tiredness”
“I’m telling you, there are five stages!” you said as you were hanging out with your two best friends, Liam and Niall.
“So what are they, then?” Liam questioned. You were all sitting on his bed in a circle cross legged.
“The first stage is, of course, hyperness. You get all jittery and giddy and you’re excited about everything.” They both looked so interested. “The second stage is when every single thing makes you laugh. You laugh at television shows, even if they aren’t funny, you laugh at yourself, the floor, the ceiling, the kitchen, the napkins, anything and everything.” They scooted closer to you and you went on. “The third stage occurs at around three in the morning. This is when your laughing has died off and you feel sad and lonely.” They looked at each other, then back at you. “The forth stage of tiredness is when you get really daring. You feel like you could tell the person you love your true feelings, go ski-diving, what ever comes to your head.” Niall looked down and blushed for some reason, as Liam looked at you in anticipation. “The final step is when everything goes blurry and your energy is pretty much all gone. Then you pass out,” you ended simply, smiling at Niall as he lifted his head back up to look at you. “And it all starts at one. A stage for ear hour, so you usually crash at about six.” They nodded and all of you looked at the clock.
“Well, It’s almost midnight. Let’s test your theory,” Niall said before turning the television on and plopping down what looked like fifth bags of candy on the bed.
“Oh my goodness life is so beautiful!” Liam shouted as he ran around the small house. Niall and you were spinning in the living room, when he took your hand and twirled you into him before wrapping his arms around your waist, then spinning you back out. You looked over at the clock to see that it was nearly two in the morning, and you started to feel your hyperness turn into the hysterical stage.
“I need more candy,” Niall said before walking back to Liam’s room, taking your hand and dragging you with him.
“You’ve already had a ton of candy! You’re gonna get fat!”
“Am not!” he protested, right before you heard Liam start to laugh. “Wow, your theory is actually really accurate, it’s kind of frightening,” Niall said as he started to giggle.
“Don’t do that! You’ll start it for all of us!”
“Liam started it! He laughed first!” Niall said in his defense as Liam came in, laughing immensely. It was true, laughter really was contagious.
“Oh my god, Liam! You’re so funny!” You said through your breathing hiccups, and suddenly, everything was hilarious. Liam fell down on his back on the bed, joined by Niall, then you. You pointed and giggled at Niall, before he did the same and hugged you randomly, chuckling into your shoulder.
“I can’t breath, I can’t breath,” Liam said as he covered his mouth and shut his eyes at his laughing increased. You and Niall simply laughed into each other’s necks, holding each other as tight as you could with out even trying.
“Alright. It’s three o’ eight. Anyone feel sad yet?” you asked, looking back at them from the clock. You and Niall had some how sunk to the ground from laughing to hard, and you had your head propped up on his stomach, your legs up on the bed as Liam laid on his stomach with his head hanging off the edge so that he could look at the both of you.
“Yes,” Niall whispered, and you flipped onto your stomach, setting your chin on your hands on his chest, looking up at him, but he kept his eyes on the ceiling.
“I feel… lonely. Like… Liam… you’ve got a girlfriend, what’s that like? Is it amazing and spectacular? Man, I don’t like this stage,” Niall said, sitting up as you did also.
“It is great, but not perfect. No relationship can be perfect you know? God, I miss her,” Liam replied, burying his face into the covers.
“What about you, Lisa?” Niall questioned as he turned to you.
“Well, I’ve got this crush…” you said, laying down again on your back, and he joined you, grazing his shoulder against yours.
“I’m not telling!”
“Ugh, fine. Go on,” he said, nudging you slightly.
“Well, I’ve known him for a really long time, so if he felt the same, we would have been together by now, right?”
“Not necessarily… but I guess I know what you mean, I’ve got the same issue.”
“You do?” You turned to look at him, and he was already staring.
“Yeah… the friend zone sucks, doesn’t it?” he asked, and you felt your emotions take over. The pain in your throat appeared, and your eyes welled up.
“Yeah… it does,” you responded weakly, covering your face as you felt yourself start to cry.
“Aw, don’t cry,” Liam said as he joined you and Niall, resting his hand on your shoulder.
“I’m sorry guys, it’s the stage, I’m telling you!” you explained through your hands, as you felt Niall’s arms wrap around your back and you were pulled to him. Little did he know, he was the boy.
It was a little after four thirty, after the sad stage had worn off, and it was time to be daring.
“Oh my gosh, guys! We should go down to that grocery store a couple blocks away with that cute guy that works late and I can flirt with him to get free candy!”
“Oh no, no, no, no, no,” Niall refused, taking your waist and pulling you back as you went to open the door.
“Why not? We ran out of candy.” He and you looked down at the bed at empty wrappers and frowned.
“Or, or, or, or, or… we could get matching tattoos!”
“No way, are you guys crazy!” Niall shouted with an amused expression.
“I don’t think the stage has hit Niall yet,” you whispered to Liam, and you both giggled.
“Whatever,” he retorted, rolling his eyes at you and Liam, but he couldn’t help but grin. You went over to the window and looked out of it.
“We should go outside!” you urged, looking up at the dark sky.
“It’s pitch black out there!” Niall mentioned as he walked up to you.
“Alright, fine. You want me to be daring?” he asked, and you nodded quickly. Just as you turned to him and leaned your back against the wall, he held your face and collided his lips to yours.
“Yes!” you heard Liam shout, and you couldn’t help but smile as you held Niall’s collar and he moved his hands to your waist, smiling also. “Man, it took you guys a while. That whole I-have-a-crush-on-someone-that-I’ve-know-for-a-long-time-and-I’m-friend-zoned-thing, was totally obvious. Niall laughed and blushed, throwing a pillow at him before tugging at your waist and kissing you again.
Once all of you started to get dizzy at around five thirty, you all just laid on the sleeping bags you had set out on the floor. Liam was completely crashed out, and you were slowly dozing off.
“Is your vision spinning too?” Niall asked. He had his arm draped over your shoulder, your head was resting on him, and you nodded, your eyes struggling to keep open.
“You were right. Your theory is proven. And it’s weird.” he said, working up the energy to chuckle at himself.
“Yep. Too bad I don’t get anything for my discovery.”
“You got me,” he said, and you looked up at him, resting your hand on his chest.
“You’re right. Never mind.” You smiled up at him and he kissed you quickly, smiling widely, but it soon faded.
“Do you really think that guy at the store is cute?” he questioned, his face serious.
“What? Pshh, no. Totally unattractive.” you answered, but all he did was narrow his eyes.
“I know you’re lying. But I am never letting you go back to that store again.
“But they have really good-“
“Nope. Never.” You had just enough energy left to giggle, but right after that, you fell fast asleep.
Hope you like it Lisa! xx
